Check out the original url. If this changes — YOU ARE DONE. Close the window and do a new offer.
Don’t do any “silver” offers.

Update: CashCrate

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

It has been almost a week since I signed up for Cash Crate. I thought I would provide a short update. New to my blog? Get caught up by reading my Cash Crate experience summary.

As you can see I’ve made $30, and just spent about 30 minutes doing offers so I have another $14 pending.

Originally I said that you could make $12/hr. I think that was a little high without referrals. It seems that it is more around $9-10/hr. The reason is it seems like 1 in 10 offers I complete does not confirm. I am not sure why — I think it may be because I’ve previously been to the site so the site thinks I am not a new visitor. I will try cleaning out my cookies more often to see if I can get a higher % confirmed.

Once those pending offers go through I will have made $45 in a week. Assuming that I can maintain close to that, it would be over $100/month just doing offers which is great!

Talk on the Cash Crate forums shows that someone made $1800 in one month. Now that is amazing.

Another good thing about the site is their monthly contests. Every month the person who completed the most offers or refers the most people gets a prize.

If you haven’t already bookmark us (Ctrl-D) and come back soon.

And sign up is you haven’t already!

Best of luck CashCrating!

We get it. CashCrate Works, but how well?

Monday, April 28th, 2008

If you’ve been following my experiment with CashCrate the past week you know that it works — you can make money using the site. But now the real question is how much money can one really make? If you are new to this site, WELCOME, get caught up by reading the summary of my Cash Crate experience.

Q: Can I pay private college tuition with CashCrate?
A: No matter how good you get, you won’t make 40k/yr, Sorry!

Q:I don’t want to deal with referrals at all. How much can I make?
A: Use a auto-form filler. Here are free 2 addons for firefox.
Autofill Forms by Sebastian Tschan
Formfillerb y Jason Baldus

These can automatically fill out all the forms you need. I’ve been experimenting with both of these form fillers. This speeds up the process and lets you complete free offers in a minute or less. The guy who convinced me to join Cash Crate said in his first few months he was making $150 /month without referrals. He spent about 1 intense hour a day filling out offers and surveys. He would have multiple offers open at the same time and used a form filler.

$150 a month is $1800/ yr which helped pay his rent in college. He then started getting into referrals. (Hence why he told me to sign up)

Q. What’s the most you’ve seen someone make with referrals in a month?
A. I’ve heard of $800 /month. He has around 1000 active referrals. This is the holy grail of CashCrate. $800/month is almost 10k/yr. Now that could pay for 1/5 of 1 year of medical school!

Q. So are you just doing this to get referrals?
A. No. But it is an incentive. It will keep the site up and running. I have reviewed sites that got the thumbs down, ie SurveySpot. I also plan to invest most of my earnings back into the site.

I am (almost have to say was) a math major in college.
If you have 100 active referrals, who each make $20/month, at that level you get 25% of their earnings you make $500 in referrals+ $100 or so for filling our your own surveys in $600/month. So go try it out for yourself.

Does It Really Work? Survey Spot

Monday, April 28th, 2008

For our 2nd site to review, we choose Survey Spot
After some initial digging I found their FAQ.
From SurveySpot: “Will I get paid for taking SurveySpot surveys?
If you qualified and completed a survey offering a survey participation reward, your reward will be added to your account 4-6 weeks from the time you complete a survey.”

Who wants to wait 6 weeks to maybe get paid. This immediately turned me off to this site.

Furthermore most of their surveys are cash drawings, so there is no guarantee if you will ever get paid. I couldn’t find any evidence that anyone has gotten paid.

This site is not worth it. I will not go as far as saying it is a scam, but I would NOT recommend the site. There are too many legit GPT (get paid to) sites, and Survey Spot is not one of them.

Final Rating: Not Worth Anyone’s Time, AVOID
