I am a graduating senior this year! I want to let you on in a little secret about saving money. Everyday throughout college I put $3 away (at first into a drawer). Say I was out and about to spend $3 (on junk), I said to myself — I’m going to save $3 today. I did this pretty much everyday, not spending $3 I normally would have and put it into a bank account (I then put it into a CD). 365 days*4 years*$3 = $4380. $3 is a bottle of water, 1/2 a beer, starbucks coffee, that cute fuzzy animal, you get the idea. This is not to say I never enjoyed starbucks, beer, or fuzzy animals — I just enjoyed 1 less each day!
At the time the $3 seemed like nothing. But now, I actually have a lot of extra spending money (or tuition for grad school)! Try it!

If you’ve been following my experiment with CashCrate the past week you know that it works — you can make money using the site. But now the real question is how much money can one really make? If you are new to this site, WELCOME, get caught up by reading the summary of my Cash Crate experience.
Q: Can I pay private college tuition with CashCrate?
A: No matter how good you get, you won’t make 40k/yr, Sorry!
Q:I don’t want to deal with referrals at all. How much can I make?
A: Use a auto-form filler. Here are free 2 addons for firefox.
Autofill Forms by Sebastian Tschan
Formfillerb y Jason Baldus
These can automatically fill out all the forms you need. I’ve been experimenting with both of these form fillers. This speeds up the process and lets you complete free offers in a minute or less. The guy who convinced me to join Cash Crate said in his first few months he was making $150 /month without referrals. He spent about 1 intense hour a day filling out offers and surveys. He would have multiple offers open at the same time and used a form filler.
$150 a month is $1800/ yr which helped pay his rent in college. He then started getting into referrals. (Hence why he told me to sign up)
Q. What’s the most you’ve seen someone make with referrals in a month?
A. I’ve heard of $800 /month. He has around 1000 active referrals. This is the holy grail of CashCrate. $800/month is almost 10k/yr. Now that could pay for 1/5 of 1 year of medical school!
Q. So are you just doing this to get referrals?
A. No. But it is an incentive. It will keep the site up and running. I have reviewed sites that got the thumbs down, ie SurveySpot. I also plan to invest most of my earnings back into the site.
I am (almost have to say was) a math major in college.
If you have 100 active referrals, who each make $20/month, at that level you get 25% of their earnings you make $500 in referrals+ $100 or so for filling our your own surveys in $600/month. So go try it out for yourself.

For our 2nd site to review, we choose Survey Spot
After some initial digging I found their FAQ.
From SurveySpot: “Will I get paid for taking SurveySpot surveys?
If you qualified and completed a survey offering a survey participation reward, your reward will be added to your account 4-6 weeks from the time you complete a survey.”
Who wants to wait 6 weeks to maybe get paid. This immediately turned me off to this site.
Furthermore most of their surveys are cash drawings, so there is no guarantee if you will ever get paid. I couldn’t find any evidence that anyone has gotten paid.
This site is not worth it. I will not go as far as saying it is a scam, but I would NOT recommend the site. There are too many legit GPT (get paid to) sites, and Survey Spot is not one of them.
Final Rating: Not Worth Anyone’s Time, AVOID

I’ve now finished a few more days of my experiment of Cash Crate. I’m really starting to get a hang of filling out offers fast. As I’ve learned more about the program I thought I would share what I’ve learned.
More about the referral system:
Bronze - 0 Active Referrals - 20% First Level, 10% Second Level
Silver - 50 Active Referrals - 25% First Level, 10% Second Level
Gold - 150 Active Referrals - 25% First Level, 15% Second Level
Platinum - 300 Active Referrals - 30% First Level, 15% Second Level
Elite - 500 Active Referrals - 30% First Level, 20% Second Level
Use multiple email addresses: I like to have a few email addresses to sign up with offers. This is a trick, since sometimes if there are 2 offers from the same sponsor you need 2 different emails to get credit for both.
Do “Register For Free” offers first: Register for free offers are quick and easy. Usually you only need to supply an email and your full name. These are the best offers.
Use autofill programs: There are a ton of auto-fill add-ons for firefox. Do a google search to find one that is best for you.
Here are all the offers I have completed so far.

The more I use this the more I like it. My earnings are almost $20 in only 3 days. And I’ve only filled out offers in my spare time. (About 2 hours). This is a free easy way to make money online!

Hello readers! Welcome to our new site, Does it really work? This site is dedicated to trying out Internet schemes and coming to a conclusion as to whether they are legit, and to what extent.
Site Name: Cash Crate
Type of site: Paid to complete free offers
I signed up April 25th, 2008.
Review: At first glance I was skeptical. Most of these paid per click sites are scams, or, it takes hours to earn a few bucks. It has been one day and here are my earnings:
(click picture for larger version)
Let’s break down my earnings.
Offers: $8.50.
I filled out 12 offers, most required a simple registration that took about 2 minutes each. Each offer on average pays 50 cents.
Surveys: $2.40.
You can take 2 surveys a day and get 80 cents per survey. I did 2 yesterday and 1 today for $2.40 in earnings. These are sometimes quite long and can take up to 5 minutes. Depending how fast you can answer the questions.
Referrals: 20 cents
I have 1 referral so far. I just told my friend to sign up and he has completed a few offers. I get 20% of everything he makes (he still gets all of his).
Bonus:Every time one of my referrals makes their first $10 I get a $3 bonus.
Come back later to see how the rest of the trial goes!
Preliminary Rating: LEGIT, $12/hr without referrals, ???/hr with referrals
